Okay, as you all know, I made it to the autditions for all-state chorus yesterday.
We arrived around 4' o clock to take the test they assigned.
It was the most havoc I have ever been in.
First, we arrived, and our teacher--- Actually, the teacher WATCHING us, because our regular teacher was doing a performance for Yom Kippur---- was still not there.
We went inside, confused.
I found out that we were supposed to sight read first- great.
So, the teacher arrives and we wait.
Then, about half an hour later, she hands us this little orange paper.
We fill it out, and they send us off to the sight reading lines.
Right before the first one in our group was about to go in, they pulled us away and said that we had to take the test.
WHAT THE ******** PEOPLE?!!!!
Okay, so we go and take the goddamn test.
Twas easy.
So then, they make us wait for everyone to get finished.
Then they finally realized we hadn't sight read yet (it was like, 6 now) and they said, oh, well, you were supposed to go sight read.
So, we were lead back to the sight reading lines.
Each person took AT LEAST 10 minutes each, while we rushed right on through.
When it was supposed to be my turn, two jackasses decided to go before me, when they weren't supposed to.
Bitches bitches bitches.
When I finally got in there, it was 7:30.
I stood for 1 1/2 hours...
To sight read.
When it should have been done by then.
DAMN THEM!!!!!
Anywho...
I got in, and these two creepy looking guys were my judges.
Of course, I sang really quiet.
They kept looking at me funny...
I nearly cried.
I finished sight reading, and I was so glad.
I walk out of the room and the first thing I hear is "WAS IT SCARY?!!!" from about 17 girls in line.
You all know how high pitched girls can get, right?
Well..
It sounded like a dying mouse.
Ouch...
So I was about to go---
then I got lost.
"WHERE THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO GO?!" I thought.
Well
I went through the doors..
And followed my way through the dark, unsure whether or not the cafeteria area was ahead.
I saw a staff member walk out--- SUCCESS!!! CAFETERIA!!! So there I caught up with my mom, and we drove home (by now, it was about 8:00). It was an hour drive, and I couldn't sleep.
When I got home, I immediately ran for my bed.
I fell asleep faster than you could say superubermega huggle.
It was a great experience, and I will know tomorrow if I passed on to the next tryouts or not.
EDIT: I MADE IT!!!! YAY!!!! *throws confetti*
Now I just have to sing really really high notes. O_OU
