Can't it be both?...Okay so I was broached(sp?) w/ the question of what kind of Roleplay character is my dominant one. I've played what, in my opinion, has been many different types of characters. I've been a Windian(race) Cardian/summoner(class) and many variations on the Elven Cleric/healer, I've even played as both vampires and werewolves or werefoxes as the case goes.
So here's what I like: I love the grace and beauty of elves and foxes comparably and I really enjoy combining the different aspects of magic and physical combat. I suppose if I were allowed to get away w/ it, I'd create a female Dante character insofar as being a mix of everything and how he faces his opponants.(sp?) Ah, but here's the flaw to that: I've roleplayed my characters as if they were female Dante's, completely neglecting the fact that the racial traits of Fox and Elf type characters avoid combat. They prefer to talk their way out of a bad situation and if it comes to combat, either flee if overwhelmed or dispatch their opponant as quickly and efficiently as possible. *sighs* sweatdrop I apologize to my DM for not getting this sooner.
Okay, so I resolve to roleplay my characters according to the way they should be; basically like Rhapsody from Elizabeth Haydon's series, but w/ the elements of Air and Water(and maybe Holy if I can sneak it in) instead of Fire and Starfire.
As for the whole fox or elf thing, really couldn't it be both? If nothing else couldn't I say my Elf's animal totem is the fox and my fox character is very elf like? That way whether I'm playing WoD or D&D I'm covered. ninja
Thank you to those who read this and if you could I have a question I'm curious about. W/ a fox/elf kind of character what natural eye color do you think would be appropriate? Personally I'm leaning toward blues or greys myself, also keep in mind the hair will be dark-brown and the skin-tone pale-pink.
Thanks again.
