Family- The imperfect jewel, yet most valued treasure
So, my family dealt with some pretty rough things tonight. Not going into the details because it's private. But, I just wanted to tell everyone out there this one thing. Treasure your family. Yeah, they may drive you insane. They may tease and torment you and totally embarass you in front of your friends... or even boy/girl friends. They are far from perfect but they love you.
A wonderful man told me "You never know what you had until it's gone." I came very close to that today. My family almost fell apart. And the feeling was gut-wrenching. I wanted to die. I never want anyone to feel like that. So, say those three little words to your family every time you see them. Because you never know what may happen. I know today was the first time in a long time I told my parents I loved them. I never want to make that mistake again.
