The Fight For An Unknown Heart
Chapter 2: The Unknown

Somtime later the pod landed somewhere on Earth in the middle of nowhere. Shayera 13 of moon base 9 exited her pod drowisly and looked around really confussed. As the sun beat down upon Shayera 13 of moon base 9's small, black and red haired head she wondered around the strange new sandy world.
Hours passed and she finally made it to a small village in the middle of no where. She continued to wonder around the village, oblivious to everything around. "Do you need any help kid?" asked a random voice.
Shayera 13 of moon base 9 turned around to the voice and looked at the old man, but did not answer him. "I said do you need any help?" asked the man again.
She still didn't answer. "Ok let's try this one what's your name?" asked the old man.
Shayera 13 of moon base 9 just looked away kind of sad. "Where are you from?" he asked.
She still didn't answer. "Ok I'm going to take you somwhere to get him." said the old man grabbing Shayera 13 of moon base 9's arm.
Once the man grabbed Shayera 13 of moon base 9's arm she pulled away instanly and backed away frieghtened. "It's ok, kid I'm not going to hurt you." said the old man reaching his hand out. Shayera 13 of moon base 9 grabbed the man's hand and followed him to a large building on the other side of the village.
"What do you want old man?" asked a guard angrily.
"This young women seems to be lost and i thought you people could help her." said the old man.
"Do you know anything about her?" asked the guarding checking Shayera 13 of moon base 9 over.
"Nothing it seems that she can't talk." said the old man.
"It looks as though she's in good physical health. I guess we can take her in and train her as one of us." said the guard.
The guard led Shayera 13 of moon base 9 into the large building behind him. Inside was really nothing specical, hundreds of doors leading who knows where and corridors the same. Shayera 13 of moon base 9 continued her walk of the building just as kids her age and younger ran through the halls.
"You will be staying in this room with another young man of the same age. Ask him any questions you may have if you have a voice that is. In an hour we will send for you and bring you to the arena. There you will be tested to see if you are even worth keeping." said the guard in a sneer.
The large wooden door slammed shut behind Shayera 13 of moon base 9 as she walked further into the room. There on the far end of the room, sitting on one of the beds was a young boy with firey red hair. His back was turned to Shayera 13 of moon base 9, his head hung low as he sat on the edge of the bed silently.
Shayera 13 of moon base 9 climbed on to her bed, cureled up in a ball and laid there. The bed was not the most comfortable thing to lay on since the mattress was an inch thick, and underneath was cold, hard metal.
An hour goes by and the two never moved or made a sound. The large door opened without even a knock. The boy and Shayera 13 of moon base 9 looked over at the intruder now standing at the hallway towards the door. "Gaiden go down to the arena now..." said the guard.
Gaiden looked up at the guard with his blood red eyes that Shayera 13 of moon base 9 saw for the first time. He then got up angrily and stormed out of the room. When the guard was sure the boy obviously known as Gaiden now, was out of ear shot, the guard turned towards Shayera 13 of moon base 9. "Now for you, we will lead you down to the arena where you will fight who knows what so we can determind if we'll keep you or not. If we do keep you, then we will give you a name you will be known as so let's go." ordered the guard.
They walked down the long, wide, deselet corridors towards unknown cheering in teh distance. At the end of the man corridor was a fork in the path. One that led up towards another another where all the cheering was comming from and the other led down into the darkness of the unknown.
Shayera 13 of moon base 9 led herself into the deep darkness readying herself for anything. Suddenly a loud voice echoed through the darkened halls on which she traveled. "Ladies and gentelmen, we have a new arrival here at the acdemy. You know the drill. We will introduce her and then it will begin." said a familar voice.
Shayera 13 of moon base 9 reached a set of very large 10-15 foot wooden doors. Just as she stopped in the dry, dark sand beeath her feet the doors slowly, creeked open to light fire light shine down upon Shayera 13 of moon base 9. She walked out into the light covering her eyes just until they got use to the light. The roars of the crowd echoed up against her ear drums as she stood in the middle of the arena. Looking around her, checking her surroundings out she became no longer a stranger to the arena it self. "This outsider of which we know nothing about wishes to join us. Do we allow it and test her or shall we just destroy her." said the voice again.
"TEST HER TEST HER TEST HER!" chanted the crowd.
"The crowd has spoken may the first contender or contendies enter the ring." said the voice.
Suddenly the crowd became silents as no one jumped in to face Shayera 13 of moon base 9. Then when everyone began to give up hope on a battle 10 very well built, young men jumped down from the crowd and into the sandy arena. As they dropped down dust rose up from under their feet and over their faces. The circle was complete and surrounded Shayera 13 of moon base 9. Before the men ren after her, they lowered metalic masks down over their faces and then looked up slowly.
Bright, blood, red lights gleamed out of the eye holes of the masks and stared Shayera 13 of moon base 9 down. As they began to circle her like a pack of hungery wolves, her emotion did not change from fearless. She stood her ground waiting for the perfect time to jump. One after another the animal faced people jumped in after Shayera 13 of moon base 9. One by one the animal faced men fell to the ground in sharp excruciating pains to all over the body.
Once all of the 10 men were down and out on the cool sands of the arena ground 9 more men now with weapons jumped down. Determination now filled her eyes as the men already began to pray down upon her. Shayera 13 of moon base 9 fought off the throwing stars and knives as they came after her, but had a hard time guarding the whips they used. But after about 20 minutes she ran after the men and knocked them all out.
Instantly 8 more jumped down ready to fight Shayera 13 of moon base 9. This time she wasted no time in waiting for them to attack her and she just destroyed them. A simple hour passed and Shayera 13 of moon base 9 had defeated 27 more men, but her greatest challenge in this mass of pointless battles was yet to acure. "Is there no one that will battle her now?" asked the voice again for the 3rd time.
Shayera 13 of moon base 9 turned towards the door when suddenly a knife soared straight by her face slightly cutting her cheek. She turned around o see her room mate stand on the edge of the wall stareing her down with his arms crossed. The two starred at each other, reading the other like a book. Thier red eyes met both with anger and determination. Both knew this going to be a good fight.
In a split second the two raced off in the same direction, mirroring each other. Once Gaiden was down upon the light brown sandy ground the real fight began. At first they locked fists and swung each other into the walls and pillars causing dents but no pain in either. A few minutes later, Shayera 13 of moon base 9 slammed her head into Gaiden's forehead causing blood on both foreheads. Gaiden let go of Shayera 13 of moon base 9's hands and stubled back holding his head.
She took this option and began to beat Gaiden over and over again with ehr fists. The only thing that ran through Shayera 13 of moon base 9's head at this point was determination, she felt no pain as she hit Gaiden again and again in the face, no fear of what he may do if he ever got the chance too, not even happiness of that she was most likely winning. She knew she had to beat Gaiden in order to find her place in this unknown world.
Then all of a sudden Gaiden dodged one of her fists which through her off completly. Shayera 13 of moon base 9 stumbled forward in an unexpected surprise while Gaiden took out a knife and slammed it into her stomach. She kept a loud scream inside her, but somewhat stopped breathing. She took her hands from behind Gaiden and placed them upon his shoulders and pushed away. Blood spraied out of the open wound in her stomach as she fell to the ground holding her stomach.
"You through yet?" asked Gaiden angrily.
Shayera 13 of moon base 9 looked up at Gaiden with fire in her eyes. She pushed herself up off the bloody, cold sand of the arena until she was standing again. She then jumped at Gaiden and pushed him to the ground as she began to beat him. With every punch she threw at him blood squirted out of her wound from the exertion of her punching.
Gaiden was then able to grab abother knife and slammed it into Shayera 13 of moon base 9's shoulder. Shayera 13 of moon base 9 aknoledged the knife in her shoulder with ehr eyes closing tight, but kept going after Gaiden. He grabbed about 5 more knives and stabbed them all into Shayera 13 of moon base 9. Just before Shayera 13 of moon base 9 fell over she punched Gaiden hard in the face knocking him out. She looked down upon him and watching the tiny drop of blood at the corner of Gaiden's mouth finally stream down his mouth and to the ground.
Then all of a sudden her eyesite became very blurry. At first she saw color and more detailed shapes, but then it went to just shapes and then shadows and finally darkness as she colapsed to the ground next to Gaiden.
Shayera 13 of moon base 9 awoke unknowing what time it was, what day it was and even where she was. She began to try and get up, but was brought back down with horrible pain all over her chest. She looked down and saw that she had blood stained bandages around her chest. She tried to take them off, but was in too much pain. "Oo your awake, good. You passed your test and were given the name Akira congrats." said the guard comming around the corner.
