Kendra woke, sweaty and sticky. The blood from her back wounds had clotted and were now scabbed. Good thing I'm a stomach sleeper. Her once white sheets were now a deep maroon mostly all over. Her mother couldn't see the sheets in this state, she have Kendra's head. So she quickly gathered them up and took them to her bathroom. Running them under the tap, some of the deep red color washed out, but most of it just spread. Since that didn't work, she wrung them out and took the sheets to her washing machine. Emptying it of it's contents, she shoved the linens in and drizzled half a contain of bleach on top. Kendra shut the lid and listened to the rhythmical whirl of the machine.
Back in her room, she changed clothes and threw out her shredded pajamas that were getting old anyways. The clothes looked bland on her. Chest too small to fit the shirt, hips not round enough to hold up her pants, necklines that were nothing interesting. Plain jane. She thought, looking herself twice over. Kendra's mother refused to buy her makeup, so she couldn't even spice up her face. She threw her backpack on her shoulder and headed for the front door.
Everyday is exactly the same. 1) Arrive at school 2) Get Bullied or preferably, Avoid bullies 3) Arrive at class 4) Get picked on by teacher 5) Eat lunch in bathroom stall (feet up so that it looks like no one is in it) 6) Return to class and teacher 7) Hide from bullies after school cool Arrive at home.
I was extremely tired by the end of the day, that I lay down and had a nap. Dexter wasn't in my dreams, come to sweep me off on some heroic rescue, and my dreams that I had were indescribable. After dinner, I continued on homework, then washed up and lay in bed. I only had to lie there for a little while before I drifted into deep slumber.
