I'm a quiet person and don't bother with many people so I write in my journal as a way to relax and let my mind roam.
What awaits...(6)
I stood under the spray of hot water feeling it rinse over me...so relaxing, I felt calmer. I wonder where Haruko went and why he went so early..? A knock on the door caught my attention and I peeped around the shower curtain. "Yes?" I called beyond the door. "Aiko...you alright?" It was Kenji and he sounded worried, but why? "Yes, I'm fine why?" I asked. "You've been in there for nearly three hours..." He said tonelessly. 'I've been in the shower that long..?' I wondered and turned off the water and climbed out to wrap a towel around me and peep out the door. Kenji stood outside leaning against the wall beside the door with a frown on his face. "Sorry..." I said sheepishly and ran out of the bathroom to my room to change. Kenji grinned and followed me then stopped outside my door, "If you want to run down the hallway like that again I think I could forgive you." he said with a laugh. I blushed and clutched my towel closer to me and went over to my bag to change into a denim skirt and black tank top. When I came out of my room Kenji and Haruko were in the hall, Haruko was smiling and Kenji had a smirk on his face. I walked past them and went downstairs to call my father on the phone in the kitchen.
The phone rang three times before a woman answered the phone. "Hello to who is your call directed to?" the woman said. "Hey Yu." "Oh, Aiko! Hi how are you?" Yu asked. "I'm fine and you?" I asked. "You know same old same old...Kai is in college now and Moi is traveling abroad." She said. "Oh, you must be proud." I smiled. "Yes. Well I'll connect you to your father hold on one second." She said and the phone was silent again. "Aiko!!" My father exclaimed on the other end of the phone. "Hi, papa-san." I said and he laughed. "How are you doing all on your own?" He asked a tinge of regret in his voice. "I'm fine papa-san. I had a little accident and I'll be staying with Suzuki-sama until you get back." I said. "A little accident...and you plan on staying there for three months?" He asked. I blushed as I understood that my dad wasn't asking if I was okay but fighting himself to deal with his only daughter staying in a house with three men, two of which are unmarried. "Papa-san everything will be fine. I've been here for about two days now as it is. Leiko is here too and Ms. Suzuki, I'm not alone and I'm doing well in school." I said beginning to ramble. "I-I understand Aiko you don't have to explain. I trust you not to do anything." He said with a chuckle. "I miss you papa-san..." I said quietly. "I miss you too Aiko." He sighed and then a group of people began talking in the background. "I have to go Aiko. The president has arrived; I'll talk to you again soon." He said. "Okay. Bye Papa-san." I said and hung up the phone. "You alright?" Kenji asked looking over at me. "Y-yeah..." I said and went upstairs to my room and sat in the center of my bed. I'd be going back to school tomorrow...those voices will be there I wonder who they are and how they could know me... I let my thoughts roam as I stared at the wall, I didn't even notice that Haruko had sat beside me in my bed and was staring at me with a smirk. "You must be thinking of something that is life or death..." He said in a whisper and I blinked and looked over at him and blushed. He sat next to me and his face was inches away from my face, he was smirking at my expression and I moved away. "I'm just wondering how my father is..." "You just talked with him not long ago right?" He asked. "Yeah." I nodded. His smirk disappeared and I sighed. "What did you need?" I asked. "Oh, I was going to ask you if you wanted to join me." He said. "Join you?" "Yeah, I'm going for a walk." He said and got off my bed. I looked at him and nodded then got off my bed and followed him downstairs where I put my shoes on at the door and the two of us headed outside.
