“A long time ago, in the old town of Belriver, a young boy was born with a horrible plauge. He didn’t know it until he was fiver years of age. He had killed all the chidlren he had played with. His family, brothers, sisters, parents, they ll died because of his curse.
The old town shuned himaway and they locked all their doors. Even the doctors of great knowledge could not cure this horrible disease. The only person who would let him be around was the old mystic, a wise woman with blood that couldn’t die from this horrible disease.
When three more years passed, the town banished him to the clock tower. There he lives to this day, incased in the timeless insides of the tower. The curse still-”
The bell rang loudly in my ears and our teacher grimmaced. “Read up to page thirty by tomorrow.” she said, grabbing her bag off the chair and walking out the door. Everyone moaned but me. I found the story of this boy intresting.
“Hey Claire, you gonna do the assignment?” asked Skullz. She was my best friend since kindergarden and was a genious at everything, except sports and drama. She was short with black hair and wicked sense of clothing choice. We stuck together forever. Side by side, the Geek Squad. That was our nickname and we liked it.
“Probably. It’s intresting. I mean, this legend that the boy is still alive is really cool.” I said, slinging my bag over my shoulder. Skullz nodded and we walked down to the court yard. I looked beyond and past the buildings of shimmering silver and brick brown-red to see the tower. It was dark and tall, towering above the city to tell us the time.
“Hello? Earth to Cal! Are you listening to me?” I snapped out of my thoughts when Skullz waved her hand in my face. “Did you hear me? I said you’re not thinking about going to that tower, are you?”

Let me fade again....
Let become what I once was....
Let me fade into a shadow once more....
So I may be free from this pain....
