I'm back from Rome biggrin It was sooo totally awesome!!!! xD
I'm really tired right now, 'cause all we did was walk, from 9am 'til 5pm.... But the things we saw there were so pretty eek
We visited about 50 churches, a couple musea and some other stuff, so I don't think I can tell you about everything I saw, 'cause that would take me hours to tell sweatdrop
Anyways, I think one of the best parts of this trip was when we went to see the Pope, that was cool whee He wished us all a Happy Easter, lol xd
The churches we saw were all very beautifull, but after a while I started to mix 'em up..... But hey, I guess that's what happens when you see about 50 churches in 8 days, they all start to look the same to you.....
I HATE Roman stairs, by the way.... Romans seem to think it's less tiring if you build a steep stair, instead of one with straight steps..... IT"S NOT! It's like climbing a steep hill with every few inches a step, which makes it even steeper and certainly not easier to climb....
And the roads are even worse. I don't remember ever being happier about seeing normal roads when I got back home..... All the Roman roads exist from seperate rocks, it's a mystery to my why Roman women wear high heels... It's impossible to walk!
But after a while I got used to it, but I still wouldn't wear heels...
The walking part went alright, I thought it was going to be a lot ferther and harder to walk, but it was okay. That is, untill my knee got "overworked" and decided to not bent anymore. You try walking stairs or steep roads with a knee that refuses to bend!
But the teacher gave me bandages for it, so it didn't hurt so much after that, and it stopped hurting at all after three days ^^
the food we got was avarage, it wasn't great, but it wasn't that bad either. I thought it was quite good sometimes. Others seemed to hate it, this guy in my class even got sick 'cause he didn't eat much. On Wednesday we got chicken, and it looked so disgusting (even though it tasted alright) that even refused to eat it, and started taking pictures of each others food instead. xp some people even said that it wasn't chicken they had, but pigeons from the city-streets razz
The spaghetti I had Tuesday was the best ever!! Even though I couldn't eat it, 'cause Ilya kept staring at me. He found out I can't eat when someone looks at me, 'cause I'll start laughing....But I managed, thanks to Marieke who distracted him razz
There were 2 things I didn't like about this trip....
1: the bathroom in our hotelroom (I had to share it with 5 others) sucked big time!! Everything had a leak, so every day when we got back the whole floor was soaked. You had to wear slippers everytime you went to get your hair done, or take a shower.... We asked the hotelmanager to get it fixed, but he seemed to have ignored the request, 'cause we haven't heard about it since....
2: Monday evening, Anne, Eveline, Marieke, Marian, Kirsten and me (in other words, the entire hotelroom) went to the Trevi Fountain. After a while Kirsten, Marian and Marieke left to go shopping (that's all they did in Rome.... especially those first two girls....)Then Anne, Eveline and I went looking for a better spot to sit (we sat on the edge of the fountain, with no "backsupport" so we had the feeling we were gonna fall in any second xd ), so we went to sit against a wall, opposite of the fountain. After about 15 minutes some punk from Milan showed up and started hitting on me. It was sooooo annoying... I don't mind if guys say they like me (I think no one minds that razz ) But DON'T stare at me!!!! He was sitting infront of my with a ridiculous smile on his face (maybe he thought it looked "seductive" or something...) and he kept staring, so I just looked the other way xd . He got me as far as to give him a kiss on the cheek, but if he wanted to go ferther than that, he would've been in trouble stare
He scared the Hell out of me when he left. He suddenly grasped my hand and put his other hand on my leg (uww.....) and then said, with a horrible Italian accent: "Baby, I have to go...." I was: 'kay BYE. And he left, then I beat Marieke for not showing up 'til AFTER he left, 'cause she didn't want to disturb us....I know you're reading this Marieke, you baka! Thanx for leaving me there.... stare
anyways, I'm just going to forget about the whole situation, he's not going to ever bother me again (yay razz )
But appart from those two little issues, I had a great time blaugh and I'd love to do it again some day!
