Not a single tear slides down my cheek
As my chest tightens and I hurt inside.
But nobody will know. I won't cry.
I sit alone once again.
You left me with a broken heart.
As it bleeds through the cuts
Left by your touch, staining my hands.
We've been good friends and still are.
But for now stay away.
I need some time and space.
I don't want to cry in front of you
Or any of my friends.
My pain is my own tearing me apart.
For now I'll turn away so you don't see
Me wipe away that forbidden tear
That slides down my cheek.

The greatest discovery of my generation is that a human being can alter his life by altering his attitudes of mind.
