Chapter 1 Infection

The lights went out and every preppy girl let out a scream. “God stfu!” I yell in my head. “OMG, what happen to the lights?” one of the girls ask while trying to find the light switch. “Ok who ever turned the lights off is going to have a Saturday school with me!” Mr.Zeedyk said warning the whole class. “I found the light switch!” yelled one of the guys who was standing up before the lights went out. He put his hand the switch and flicked them… but nothing happened. He started flicking the like crazy and still nothing. “Ok all the lights went out all at once that’s creepy.” Nichole said to me in a low whisper.

“I know but, now maybe I can get some sleep.” I say back at her in joking way. “Ok let me see if it just happened in our room or it happened to others as well.” Mr.Zeedyk says while getting up from his desk. He walks slowly towards the door trying not to trip on anything. He finally reaches the door and finds the handle, he turns it and opens the door. Nothing is all you could see. The hall ways were just as dark the class room. Other teachers had also gone out of their rooms to see what had happen. Some teachers had used their cell phones light to help them see in the dark.

“What’s going on?” couch whinehimer asked the other teachers outside. “THIS IS AN EMERGANCEY LOCK DOWN EVERY ONE IN THEIR CLASS ROOMS N-AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!”Was the last sound coming from Toby tiller over the intercom. Mr. Zeedyk and couch whinehimer looked at each other and ran back into their class rooms. Once Mr. Zeedyk came inside everyone started to freak out. “OMG! What’s going to happen to him, TO US!?” one of the girls yelled out loud. “N-now everyone stay calm, and line up against the wall. “Melissa what do you think happen to him?” Nichole whispered to me, I could hear the fear in her voice, “I-I don’t know but more importantly what’s going to happen to us?”I ask back. Before Nichole could answer there was a loud crash in the hall way.

Everyone went still and there was only dead silent’s in the room. The noises got louder, closer to our room. All we could hear was the screaming of people dying. Then it all stopped. For a while you could hear nothing, but the hard breathing of everyone in the room. Without thinking Mr. Zeedyk, who was near the door any ways, went to the door to hear if anything was going on. He stood there for a minute and then he turned around. “I think it is over.” He said. CRASH!! One of the windows on the door broke. A hand comes through the window and grabs Mr.Zeedyk’s head and starts to pull. “AHHHH!! GET IT OFF, HELP ME!” he yells at us, but we all just sat there on the floor trying to hold back our screams.

The hand pulled harder and harder on his head, Mr.zeedyk still screaming was trying to break free from the hands grip. Everyone sat there in fear watching everything. Some girls started to cry thinking that they might die, and others started to whisper to them self’s that they ARE going to die. Nichole and I just sat there watching everything that was happening to Mr.Zeedyk. I hadn’t realized it, but when Nichole flinched I looked down at my hands, I was shaking in fear. While Mr.Zeedyk was trying to break free the other three windows shattered into pieces and was replaced with a sea full of hands. More hands filled the window where Mr.Zeedyk’s head was. All the hands grabbed Mr.Zeedyk’s and pulled. “AHHHHHH….!” Mr.zeedyk screamed, and then came a loud cracking noise.

The screaming had stopped, but the hands kept pulling until…. Mr.Zeedyk’s head was ripped right off his shoulders. At that moment everyone besides Nichole and I, screamed. “H-hey at least now we won’t have next year.” I say to Nichole while trying to stay calm. Nichole turns her head me giving me a serious look telling me that now is not the time for this. Everyone was too busy to notice that hall the hands were gone except for one. “M-Melissa what is that hand doing?” Nichole asks me. I look at the window and I see the hand moving down towards the door handle.

“********! Its moving towards the door handle.”I say to Nichole trying not to let anyone but her hear. “********! What are we doing to do? She asks me while taking my shoulders and shaking me back and forth. It took me a few seconds to get an Idea. “Nichole follow me.” I said to her. She gave me the “ok” and started to crawl behind me. We crawl towards Mr. Zeedyk’s desk and hide near the far side of the corner. Once we set our self down the hand had reached the handle. The hand slowly turned it and opened the door.

Once the hand opened the door you could see the outline of a teen aged boy, and some of his fetchers. “A-Alex? I-Is that you?” said one of the girls who was on the floor. The teen aged boy turned his head to her and nodded. “OH ALEX!!” the girl said and ran towards him. He held his arms out and caught her. “Oh Alex…” she said again while she nuzzled her head on his chest. “Alex” grabbed her by the shoulders and was leaning in towards her as if to kiss her. She got on her tippy toes and also leaned into him.

“AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!” the girl screamed with all her might. “Alex” had leaned into her neck and bitten her. Nichole and I flinched at her scream. “Alex” then bit down even harder and ripped a large chunk of the girls flesh and ate it. The scent of fresh blood had filled the air and other infected had smelled its sweetness and came running towards our room. Thousands of infected filled the room and headed towards everyone sitting against the wall.

Nichole and I just sat there and listened to all the screaming, and ripping of limbs. After a while, when things were settled down I peeked my head out to see if most of the infected were distracted. My eyes widen at all the blood, torn limbs that were all over the room. I turn my focus back to a way out. I bent back down to tell Nichole the game plan. “Ok Nichole they seem distracted on the count of three we run like hell towards door and we keep running ok?” I tell her and making sure she got everything.
Nichole nodded her head in agreement. “Ok, ready, one, two, thr…HEY WAIT FOR ME!” I yell at Nichole who ran at two. Once we had gone out of the room one of the infected had saw us and ran after us. I had turned around and saw it running after us getting closer and closer. We ran as fast we could until we came to the dead end of the science hall. “s**t! MELISSA NOW WHAT!?” Nichole yelled at me panicking on what to do. I too was panicking as I just watched the infected coming our way. I ran towards the room to my left of me to see if it was unlocked….sadly it was. While I was checking the door Nichole ran to the room right from her. She turned the handle and the door opened and the keys where on the floor inside. “MELISSA THIS DOOR IS OPEN HURRY!” she yelled at me.
