When people look at you the first thing they think is - Do I need that person to like me? If it's a yes, then the next thought is "I wonder what they think of me". If it's a no, then they usually think "I wonder what that person's like." Or atleast, that's how I think. Sure, it's shallow, but at least it's logical. Everytime I see someone look at me, I wonder "do they like me?" And then I think..They probably never even think about that. They probably never think about what I'm like, or who I am inside, or any of that stuff. They probably don't even think about how I act. I know I don't usually think about that stuff in reguards to my friends. It's all about what they feel towards me, not what I feel towards them. I think a lot of other people must be like that too.
It's funny. I always thought that to laugh was to be happy was to have hope. People joke most about the things they need hope about. I never joke about God except for when I'm troubled by God.
What was that?

Who here has seen the movie saved? Don't you just love the part where the principal of the school rocks onto the stage and yells "who's down with G-O-D?" Try "Who's got that Jesus thang going on?" Or "Who's gonna shake their bootie into enternal salvation?" What's happening in Christian culture these days? What is Christian culture? Is it the same? Or different? Is there even such a thing as Christian culture? I want to write a play on it, but I haven't got enough grounded info. Anything anyone has to say about anything at all is huge help full. Yes, this is a unashamed plea for help. Isn't that called Christian charity?

We can't protect freedom by taking it away Words on the anti-terror legislation
Death has been caused minimally, by these people the world names "terrorists" in the middle east. There has been one attack on the super power of the world - America. Who could forget 9/11? But throughout all the aftermath, and media hype, unessary and drastic measures were taken. Our government either panicked, or had ulterior fascist or power related motives, that we will never know. But what we do know, and we do see, are the ridiculous and unprompted actions of the government. These laws encompass several areas. Not the least of these laws, states that anyone, minor or adult, may be locked up for 48 hours without being charged. You are only allowed to tell one person that you have been imprisoned under the anti-terror laws. So, if a child is imprisoned, and their father finds out, their mother can't know. If the father does tell the mother where their child has been for the last 48 hours, he can be put into jail for 7 years. The original length for this sentence was indefinite. People could be held perminately, without even knowing what they had done. Luckily, our constitution managed to stop this law being passed. But doesn't the fact that our government attempted to pass a law that was unconstitutional alarm you? What if they ever managed to get something like that passed? Our governments desperate struggle to breach the constitution. The arrested and uncharged individuals also are not allowed to have legal representation. Because of course, you wouldn't want to arrest someone and then find out they were actually innocent. You wouldn't want the people you arrested to actually have heard the laws they may, or may not have broken. Not that legal representation will do much good when they don't even know what they did wrong. What are we gaining from these laws? How is locking someone up for 48 hours without charging them going to stop terrorists attacking the nations of our world? Exactly what is our government trying to do? We can not afford to compromise the freedom of our nation. The government can't put itself above terrorist status. It deliberately endangers lives by sending troops to Iraq. It owns lethal explosives. And yet, we voted for it. But it's not too late. Protect freedom by using it. Speak out and make a difference.

Justice is in the heart, not the mind.
Believing in something, and thinking you believe in something are two very different things. Why do we talk in absoloutes? Surely, our morality is for us to determine - mortals know only how to pass judgement, not how to live it. A sin which you can't believe is a sin is not a sin for you. Justice is not fickle. It must be consistant by definition. Yet morality is not like that. Morality is flexable. Excuses therefore are moral, but they are not just. Ask yourself which one you want more, morality or justice. Because they aren't as connected as we have come to believe.

Species:
It's funny how no ones ever classified the different species of humans. I guess personality tests are as good as it's going to get. I think they should seperate the species. Then agian maybe not - can you imagine a class of 30 extraverts? *shudders*
People sterotye to often. If you had to attach a sterotype to me.. Well actually there's a challenge for you. I can't think of anyone who, once you get to know them, are still a sterotype. Sterotyping is actually an integral part of the humanmind known as grouping.
For instance, my closest friends might by x,v,g, and r. They would all be there own little catagories. Then, if I liked them, l,p and s might all be in one catagory as funny extraverts. If I knew them less, k,j,h,y,d, and w might all go into one catagory as something even more specific, like preps. This was created from tribal times, and allows you to make character assumptions in order to be as socially similar as possible to large groups of people.
