Hmm???
The light of the sun almost blinded me. All i could see was the shape of a girl leaning over me.
“Your gunna be late.” She sounded twelve but i couldn’t make assumptions…i looked about twelve.
She grabs my hand and pulls me up “Hey, watch it!” I wrestle my hand out of hers.
“SOOOOOORY!” she laughs. “Hey! Hey! You’re new!”
“I thought this place looked unfamiliar” I say rolling my eyes. My vision started coming back and before me was standing the oddest girl i had ever seen.
She was quite a bit taller than me, her at about 5’7’’ myself 5’0’’. She had more curves too…one of those model types to contrast my stick figure. The uniform we were forced to wear fit her perfectly like it was tailored to fit her, unlike my uniform, too loose for my form. Her hair was perfect, unlike my short messy brown hair, hers was long black hair pulled into two pig tails that made her look twelve…
Maybe she is twelve…
She held out her hand, nails painted blue to match the uniforms i suppose. “Hi, I’m bunny!”
“bunny?”
“Yeppers! My parents named me bunny.”
“As a joke?”
“Nope!” she acted as if this wasn’t the first time someone had be caught off guard at her name.
“Okay” i go to grab her hand “I’m-
“Late!” a cold voice came from behind.
I turn around oh great one of the teachers.
“This is not a very good way to start your first day here.” She starts.
“I-
“She got lost and luckily I found her!” Bunny jumps to my rescue.
The teacher decides to buy it and sends us to class.
“So what year are you?”
“Fourth”
“Fourth-grade!?!”
“No bubble head!” I bonk her on the head “Fourth year highschool”
“Ah! “baka “I didn’t think you were THAT young.”
“I spent most of my life in Japan so i’m just used to their school system. Do they move classes or do we?”
“We do” she says pulling my schedule out of the back of my skirt.
“The Fu-“ she slaps her hand over my mouth.
“If the teachers hear you cuss they’ll like beat chu!!!” She looks at the paper “Your in MY class!”
Oh joy…
“How did you know i kept that there?”
“Everybody puts it back there! Hehe”
“oh…”
“No pockets!” She bounced when she walked; i don’t mean that in a perverted way but like the ‘bounce in her step’ kind of way. I kinda started to wonder more about this odd girl.
“Here we are!” She says snapping me back to reality “First period and it looks like she hasn’t started attendance yet!” When i looked up at her face i saw something i had never seen before, a genuine smile.
So warm…like my light…
We go into the room and the teacher yells at us, but luckily Bunny explains how i was lost, terribly lost, and how she showed me the way here while i managed to nod at the appropriate times. Then we went to out assigned seats, completely opposite sides of the room. I couldn’t keep myself from thinking of bunny…
