I walked through the halls.
The building was in the middle of the city. The biggest building that could be seen from far away. The glass on the outside made the building seem more majestic.
The inside was different. It seemed as though once you have walked in, there was no turning back. There was no way to get out.
The bland grey walls seemed to make the hallway smaller and dreary. I tried to not notice all the doors that were steel, that had been closed and bolted shut. I tried to ignore all the noises coming from the creatures inside. But the noises, the grey walls, the black steel doors were telling me I was not going to live. That I should walk away, turn back and go home, that something terrible is ging to happen to me.
But I didn't turn back. I didn't listen to the things the walls tried to tell me. I kept walking until I got to the final door of the hallway. This door was different. It was made of wood, not steel, and stained brown. I lifted my right hand, turned it into a fist and knocked lightly.
A few moments later, the door opened and I walked in.
