For us, it was a seemingly normal day; at least, that’s what we thought for a while. Sadly, though, we never have normal days. Ah, I should probably introduce myself. I’m Cycantha Leiu Corlinte, an official weirdo to humans. Since I’m not from here, I often get dragged away to other worlds/dimensions. Not that it matters, since no one ever even notices I’m gone. My friend Medea is still pretty new to this, so I have to protect her. Also, she’s really outgoing, so it’s hard to make excuses for where she’s been, and why. Yeah, the typical American, for the most part.
Well, at least today we had time to prepare…Well, sort of…It’s hard to prepare when you don’t know what to expect. Well, today something like Kermit the frog (don’t ask) knocked on our door while Medea was still asleep. Oh great, it’s already beginning, I had thought, while saying aloud, “It’s too early for this. Ahh, grr, give me a break already!” So I opened the door after tossing the towel aside (I was drying my hair).
“Hello, is Medea here?”…For some reason he was a police officer?
“Yeah, why? She’s asleep though.”
“Well, can you give her this ticket for me?”
“Ummmmm, what’s it for?” (Can you blame me for being curious?)
“Speeding on the sidewalk.”
“So, for running?”
Then he just left. What????!!!!!!!
So, when Medea woke up later, I told her. “Kermit the police officer, I guess, came to give you a ticket.” Then the portal opened, and we fell into another world.
“Ow. Way to be gentle!” I yelled, though it was useless. We both took our time to recover and stood up slowly. We had landed in the yard of some home that was apparently ours while we were there. We went inside and talked about what to do and how to get out of yet another strange place. Well, we slept as usual that night after looking around to find out where to go.
The next day, we went to a university, just like our normal selves from here would do. We found our friends and they didn’t notice anything odd about us. At least it didn’t seem like they did. We just followed them. So, we had to go as a group to some weird lady that’s supposed to be a counselor. She had everyone draw something, and wouldn’t let us go get something to drink. Luckily, Ari had packed. “Oh, I have some water and crackers. We can share them.” So we picnicked until the counselor came back and it was time to go. It’s great to be out of that dull room.
With that, we said out goodbyes and went home. Later, when we were about to call it a day and go to sleep, someone knocked on the door. “Oh, great, they’re here.” We’ve gotten good at saying that in unison. So, I opened the door and he was there, our enemy in that world. He has an army of robots and plenty of servants.

Now, we’ve fought our way into his house. We walk around and into a trap. “Hahahahahaha! You’ll never get out alive!” So I said, “Be on your guard. Don’t shoot, just dodge and run! If we take him out, they’ll stop.” He’s on a metal platform that we can jump and climb to, if we make it across. Well, the robots were coming out from the walls now, and shooting. We ran, but on different sides. I had to focus, flip, spin, land, run, and repeat. With bullets coming from all directions except straight down (literally), I hardly had the chance to ask if she was doing ok. I made it across first, and said “Ok, I made it! Come on”, but I was still being shot. I decided to hide behind the 1-2 foot high wall.
Eventually, Medea made it too, but she’s always in more danger, because she’s so clumsy. I reached for her hand and pulled her up. Together, we ran, and caught that midget. “Who’s going to die, now?” That’s what I said. I shot him, but didn’t kill him.
He was arrested and we were suddenly taken home. Who knows what crazy place we’ll go next?
Honestly, this is definitely not my best work...
