To Fly Away
I look up at the sky,
I see the birds all soaring away.
How I envy them.
So free.
They have no boundaries,
no chains to hold them down.
How I wish I were like them.
So free.
All I ever wanted was to fly,
to be as free as them.
But alas, these chains hold me here.
Never to be free, never to roam.
I wish I had pure, glowing wings,
I wish I could break free from these chains.
I wish I could fly away,
and see the world, and see my loved ones.
Will I ever be free?
Will I ever see those I loved?
Will the birds, teach me to fly?
And be free, and fly away.
I'm cooped up here.
I cannot escape.
I want to fly away,
to escape, to go where I never could.
"Break those chains,
spread your wings and fly!"
That's what the birds say,
when the come soaring past me.
"You can do it,
go ahead, try!"
But I know I can't..
I have no wings.
No way of escape,
I wait here in solitude.
I have no choice but to stay,
I am a chained wolf.
I'll keep waiting here,
the chained wolf I am.
I'll keep howling until I am called
and freed once and for all.
