I was falling... endlessly falling... in the dark consciousness of my mind, I thought... would I ever wake up? Was I doomed to fall for eternity, when I should be spending it in heaven? I left these thoughts behind as my mind again blanked out, then turned on again. All I could do was hope I didn't fall down to... to... Hell. My wings were useless; I couldn't even move a feather. "God," I prayed, "Please, give me one more chance. Please, anything but to go down to Hell." As I still continued to fall, I realized that I was about to smash into another giant rock: a meteorite. I closed my eyes, braced for impact, then slowly let my mind blank out again. What would happen from this, I would never have expected.

Sereeb didn't even know how it happened. One second, she smashed into the meteorite, the next she was standing on hard ground. And she was breathing. And her wings were gone. And she was ALIVE.
