To get to her bus stop Leslie had to cross the busiest street on her road. Standing at the end of her neighborhood Leslie prepared to cross. Without looking backwards she began walking cross eyes straightforward.
Without having a clue what was going on, her body felt like rag doll as she was yanked up in the air and threw to the other side of the street her body crumpled in a odd position.
Leslie didn’t scream, nothing could form and bubble out of her mouth. Where had the car come from? Was it speeding? Hearing the brakes slam and the tires squeal Leslie held her breath feeling a pain in her chest.
Breathing out she gasped for air, seeing a dark figure come towards her she tried screaming, the pain was unbearable as she tried to get up, everything in her body had gone numb.
Getting a better look now she noticed the guy had red eyes and insanely sharp teeth. She looked up at him a whimper forming at her lips.
“Happy 16th birthday Leslie.” He said as she saw his arms come down on her head and everything went black.
Leslie sprang up screaming as she grasped her sheets scared to death. Looking around her room her breathing slowed. Glancing at the red, glowing numbers she read the time. It was 2:15 am which meant that Leslie had gone to bed three hours ago.
She inhaled and held it in for a moment before exhaling. Gradually standing up she slipped on her old worn converses and black hoodie. She didn’t bother changing from her shorts and tank top.
Grabbing her phone and bus pass Leslie walked out into her living room, creeping quietly past her drunken step- father. It was one of those rare days that he was home. She actually never really liked him at all.
Walking out the front door, Leslie began heading down the street trying to avoid crossing the street. The dream still played fresh in her mind and she figured her eyes were bloodshot.
Walking past an abandoned apartment complex Leslie felt strange vibes coming from it. Leslie turned on a dirt road and began to stroll deeper into the tiny forest that surrounded the dirt road, about half a mile down Leslie could hear the music going and the people screaming.
Stopping to compose herself Leslie used her fingers as a comb as she brushed through her think, long red hair. She wiped the remaining traces of eyeliner off with her jacket, and rubbed her temples so she looked calm. Now the only thing wrong was that her beautiful green eyes looked bloodshot still.
Continuing her walk she finally made it to a house. It was crowded to the point that people were spilling out into the yard. Cars flooded the front area to the point where she had to squeeze herself through small openings between cars.
Making it up to the front door Leslie began pushing her way through the crowd. She could smell the pot smoke and the drugs already. Not stopping Leslie pushed her way through the sweaty bodies trying to get to the back wall.
Before Leslie even made it to the back she spotted him. He was leaned up against the wall as a bunch of people surrounded him. Although he was taller then most it was his orange hair that made him stick out. His hair was an orange reddish color that framed his lovely pale face and grey eyes making him look serene and calm, he was 6’1 maybe 6’2 and when she stood next to him in a bathing suit she felt fat, and she wasn’t fat to begin with.
Leslie recognized something different about him. He had gotten his lip pierced on the right side of his mouth. She smiled it looked oddly good on him. Pushing her way through the crowd around him Leslie stood five inches shorter then him, waiting for him to notice her.
It didn’t take long for him to turn his attention to her. Once he saw the bloodshot eyes, his grey eyes filled with worry as he covered his hand with his mouth. She could see his hand was decorated in rings and bracelets that he had kept over the years.
“What happened?” He asked a slight British accent laced his words.
“I died, again.” She told him.
