I look around myself
Watching the world,
Letting no colours taint my vision.
I see the sorrow of a thousand years
All written in black
Like notes scripted on every person I pass.
Is this life?
This world . . . .
I fight to hold on to it.
It thrashes like the waves of a stormy sea,
It flees from my understanding.
I know I cannot catch it.
Yet still I try.
Do we all attempt things
We know cannot be?
I don't see the colour
That I know should be there.
I only see shades of black
And Dull slate grey.
These are the shades that I live with.
These are the shades of my life.
These solitary colours which
Taint us more than the strongest poison.
And yet we still endure.
We still live.
A Monochrome World . . . . . .
A Monochrome Life . . . . . .
Why do we pull on
Through the grey?

Description:
Yeah, this is just a poem I wrote when I was going through one of my worse times. Slightly depressing but yet still very enjoyable to read.
