I waited patiently at his door, clinging tightly to the frame that I'd not bother the nurses dashing about. My gaze rested fully on the half naked man on the bed before me. His dark blue eyes watching, no killing, the poor nurse that had drawn the short straw today and had to draw his blood. "How is this going to fix me?" He incuired again. "We have to preform tests..." She tried to repeat herself but Anako would not allow it. "I will not be fixed by having my life taken from me." He argued again, twisting his arm away as she attempted to piece his flawless skin. "Anako... Just let them complete their tests." I sigh shaking my head with a slight laugh. He dismissed my suggestion and went back to pressing the nurse for anwsers. I sighed and leaned back against the door, dragging my hand through my hair. The lavender locks twisted and knotted around my fingers, demanding my attention. However a sudden yelp intterupted my ritual. I looked back up to see Anako trying to steady himself, even though he swayed dizzily about. He collasped back onto the bed, his eyes rolling up into his skull. I cried out and went to run for him but the nurse held out her arm and carefully observed him. "I'm just guessing, but to me, he seems anorexic. He's deathly pale and thinner. However he appearse to be in optimal health." She generally mused. I thought back to him when I first met him. He seemed thin then but now that I seriously scrutizied over him he did seem somewhat thinner, but not badly enough to cause him to collaspe. I slid next to him, across from the nurse. I gingerly slid my hand over his, squeezing his delicate hand. His head lolled over in my direction his eyes seemed to clear momentarily before being reclaimed by the haze. "We will get you better." I whispered to him, taking his hand up to my lips. I held his hand my face, leaning into it. His hand twitched ever so slightly, capturing a thick strand of hair in it's iron grip. I eased back, looking at the easily seven inches I'd have to forfiet if it came that I needed to leave. This was not my lucky day either. ~~~~~ After an hour f being stuck beside his bed did the doctors come baring news of his prediciment. They droned on about his lack of history and lack of health care but they said they could give him a quick and cheap treatment that could work. However he was so far gone from this realm that I was left as his offical spokes person. "Um... You say it will work?" I ask, accepting the paperwork. "It is not garunteed but it should improve his condition. If it does not we will be willing to use more extensive measures." The doctors reasured me. I sighed resignedly and signed the forms, briefly reading over them. With that they injected a clear liquid into his arm and left a burse on observation. With 10 minutes Anako was begining to reemerge from his coma like slumber. Unfortunately for me, his hand grasping my hair flew across his body. I followed, shouting all the way for him to stop. He quickly released my hair and stared at the strand of krimped hair. "I was not aware that your hair was in my hand." He stated, which was a close to an apology as I was going to get. "They think that you went into a diabetic shock due to you not eating properly. They said if you eat regularly you'd be back to full strenght within a tenday." I repeated back, condensing the material for him. He seemed more interested in the window at this time however. He flung hisslef off the bed and moved fluidly to the window. Outside I could see the statue of Corellion. His back was to us and the top of the crystal orb barely peeked over his head. He flung open the window and bent out, gaxing down at the street far below. I quickly grabbed him by the waist anf hauled him back inside. My heart raced as my breath caught in my throat. "I was here once." He said softly, his head bowed in thought. His face shielded by the veil of darkness growning from him. His whole body seemed to emit an ominous aura. Why is one as pure and honest as him have such an icy demeanor? Why is he hidding beneath his hair, beneath the darkness? I tenderly touched his arm, brushing back his hair. The infinately silken strands swished back, obeying my ever whim. His darkened eyes looked at me. No, they looked through me. He was not focused on anything in this room, let alone this time. How ancient those eyes were. They seemed to me as if they've seen the rise and fall of many civilazations, the whole creation the lands its self! "C'mon, you have some release papers to sign, then we can ditch this bucket of lysol." I joked, using a low voice to make it seem criminal. "Lysol?" He questioned, bending in and utilizing the set volume. "Yeah, that was a lame line but its the best I got at the moment." I giggle softly and help him redress himself and led him towards the elevator. My how complicated my life is going to be!
