I've come up with a really cool ending for The Futur More. It may not or may not a spoiler. It may because those of you with good memories of names will understand and those of you without such memories won't.
I was tempted to stand there forever but I had to go. If I didn't there wouldn't have been left to salvage. He was being surprisinly easy to find. Which generally means that he knew I was coming. "Anako." He turned slightly, his eye barely visable as he titled his head. "Yes, Ray?" His monotonous voice was less harsh and had a tired... shadow to it. But it all seemed to snap into place then. I knew that he wasn't coming back from this. Not because of any emotion on his part but because of the lack of them. "You're leaving." And I'll be only one left. Sure Arrian and Shi and there trio of sons, Lady Cian, Jaimee and Rhyns' children are still here and will always be ready to accept me, but it's not the same. We can't be a trio if there's only one. "I have to." No you don't. I wanted to say that but I knew I was lying. Sure it seems like it's optional, but that's only because he still looks Rivinian. He's not. I don'[t know what he is but I do know that in his current state, there's nothing I can do to stop him. "I have to rebuild my energy so I'm going to Earth." He turned back to the window. It was a lovely view of the Lighting. It cast a warm glow around the small woodland town. Most of the homes were composed of trees and built structures but it was lovely to look at this time of the morning. The sunlight glistened on the leaves as they slowly unfurled and waved in the delicate breeze. "Why Earth?" "It's not as hard there." He didn't mean physically. Even I was having a hard time on Rivinian. Jaimee noticed and has decided that I should move back to Earth. I can still be a general here if I so desire, but I'm old and tired. I may not look like I'm well into my 60s, but I feel like it. "Will I see you before you leave?" "I don't know." He was attempting levity there. He knows everything, he just doesn't want to say. "You can't always change things based on your will alone." Anako spoke softly and turned around, his eyes burning with intensity. "So forgive me, if I must kill you." I couldn't help but chuckle at that. "Seven. In the infinity that is the multiverse, there are only seven Rivinas. And we know that this one, isn't the one you want." I walked past his to stare at the lovely scene of this sleeply little town waking up and going about it's day. "I had the pleasure of knowing you and the honour of calling you friend. Whatever you do, I cannot blame you." He didn't say anything but gave a sigh and shook his head. "I just would like it, if you didn't, please." He gave a faint chuckle and smirked at me. "I have five more tries, Ray, but it is your influence that brought about all the changes that have led us here once before." "Stop helping me." I stated with a chuckle. "You personally escorted me to the Blivions and had my DNA scanned, and assisted me at D8, and helped me and Mochi and all the rest of us Terrans in winning against those opposed to our stay here. You also helped out with Tsuem's murder investigation, when you had no obligations to do so." "I had obligations to you and her." "Yeah, but it need have been so. I would have found that Master K.Noll killed her without your help." "Because you knew me." He had a bit of a point there. Anybody who didn't know him would believe that he would kill random people for no real good reason. But he's not like that. He's too logical and too protetive to ever put Rhyns is danger by randomly killing people. "Even if I didn't know you, you'd have no reason to kill her and thus no motive." "Who says I'd need motive to kill some one?" He asked, his voice deathly cold and his eyes dropping to match the chilled tone. "I say." It was hard to stand against those eyes but he was only trying to make a point. Those are the eyes that the Terran Police saw and the same eyes I saw when I landed here. Eyes that don't see people, only insects that need to be crushed. "You say now." "I say forever. In any world, and universe, I will stand by you, Anako. I didn't hate you when I first met you, I won't hate ever." I shot him a wide grin. "It's not my nature." He grinned back and nodded in concession. "I want you to succeed, and as much as I'd like to be there to see it..." I trailed off and gave a non-comital shrug. "I will see what I can do." I could see the gears turning and could only smile. "See you later, Anako." I smiled and held out my hand. He shook it and bowed slightly over it. "We shall met again, wheither it be this life time or the next."
