I sat upon the marble placard watching the elderly courator pace back and forth before me, spouting off random compliments, praises and curses. His shock only lulled me into a sleep. I watched the sun dip slowly towards the ground. "Listen..." I began but was sharply cut off. "Anako!" The cheery voice startled me causing me to nearly fall off the marble base. I turned to see Rhyns waving at me from the street. I flew over the old man, clamping my hand over his mouth. "You will tell no one, ecspecially that one." I said indicating Rhyns. "Of course." He said smiling pleasntly. "...Thank you." I said lowly and swiveled around. "If you're free, please stop by again later." He said bowing deeply. I nodded swiftly and parted with him, quickly crossing to Rhyns' side. "How was your day?" He asked, running a hand through his long lavander tresses. "... Mostly uneventful." I shrug and start walking. "Hey.. How about we go out to eat? My treat." He offers, his cheeks once again flushing a soft pink hue. I brush back his stray hairs, looking into the depths of his soul. He was so cleverly disguised. You'd never guess how black his soul had become. I took his hand and brought it my lips, trying to wish away the darkness clinging to his soul. He shivvered and wrenched away his hand. He spun away, his hands clutching his face. "So, was that a yes?" He asked, his voice pitching high with nerves. "Sure." I responded, offering him a nod. He clapped excitedly and grasped my arm, clinging to my side. He babbled happily, not really looking for anything more than somebody to hang to and hear him talk. I felt another flutter, but this one made tears start to blossom in my eyes. I felt another surge of expected emotion, nearly stealing the ground from my feet. I felt myself fall into the shadows, I felt myself get drug back to the world of the infinites. I wanted to resist but I couldn't see strait and my balance was gone. I heard a distant shout, a distant bell, a faint pang of nausea as the ground rushed up to meet me. I fell to the concrete walk way, feeling life por out my shell and spill onto the division between these worlds. I could hear something... Something that sounded like laughing... I moaned as I struggled to my hands and knees, and froze in horror as I seen the spear of destiny skwered through my upper torso. "I will not die by the likes of you!" I shouted at those laughing voices. I picked mysef from the ground and snapped the spear in two. I fell back against the wall, the simple wooden rod igniting and falling, swirling around my pathetic form. I felt the shadows slide over me, and fell back into them, eager to rest and exact my due justice on those pittiful beings.
