so i feel like a total idiot. my director told me i had to be there for all the modern calls this week, and i thought she only meant dance, and today was music, so i asked my stage manager (who wasn't there when the director gave the instruction) and she said i could go home. well i was home for about an hour when one of the cast members called and asked why i wasn't there, and i said the stage manager told me i didn't have to. the director didn't get mad at me, but i'm afraid she got mad at my friend (the stage manager) and i feel really bad. so yea idk what to do now but i really hope my friend is ok.
