A daybreak forecoming morning
Like a prophet foretelling enlightenment
Your smile is a facade.
Our relationship a masquerade
Twisted lips so others applaud
Deaf ears for each and every serenade
Maneuvering each word and phrase
This couplings just a phase
Each action carefully caricatured to be courteous
Each meeting planned for the people and the place
Your lies are meant to be polite
You may feign being calm
But this dawn i must be contrite
I see I don't belong
So I have a proposition
To extract you from this position
A way to cut the cords connecting us with one catch
Should you shed a tear as the sun raises near, I wont be here
So in this morning we took a vow
The masks clattered on the floor
To reveal our faces and take a bow
The sound shrouding the creak of the door
Light floods in reflecting off your eyes
You agreed to my offer like I surmised
For you I have one last surprise
I wont be the same come next sunrise
