There you are once again
at the edge of my periphreals

Those words I sent
Did sound quite eloquent
But that warmth has been spent
Those emotions came and went

String of letters and rhymes conveyed those thoughts of mine
Your kiss shall be missed, but it never held what I wished
Dreams from days forotten and gone
Discarded and regarded as beign soft hearted

I held too much hope
For who you truely were
I almost couldn't cope
But now youre simply “her”

That change diddnt come in exchange for nothing at all
It took a sacrifice and a willingness to fall.

So to the streets I left as a vagabond
In search of an epiphany that must be won

I stepped softly on the asphalt
Treading tireless to nothing in particular
For miles my feet and my mind meandered
Until a lane led me to one last realization

My life had gone askew
My journey needed to start anew
Every tine I had tried, changes had been few
At that moment I simply knew

By morning I returned
Frigid, fatigued, and sore
My misgivings had adjourned
As I pulled the shears from the drawer

Snip by snip, to the ground fell my hair
Piece by piece, I began not to care

About girls who held my dreams in luscious lips and breaking seams
Of memories once pristine that tortured me till I careened

And finally I was free
I had found a new person I could call, me
