I used to be so cold to you,
Darkness was my only point of view,
All of my words brought you down,
And turned those sweet smiles into frowns,

All the pain,
All the strain,
That I put you through,
So many things I can't undo,

I always thought you were wrong,
But it was me, it was me all along,
But now that girl is gone,
I have seen a new dawn,

And I apologize,
For telling you those lies,
And yet I still fail,
I fail to let you see me prevail,

I am still broken,
I pretend that the guilt only happens now and again,
I try to tell you that I'm okay,
You can't see me in this state!

So many things to undo,
For you,
I try to stay strong,
