Marisa had her hands clenched into fists, storming down the sidewalk. Tanner was following close behind her, a puzzled complex on his face.
"Hey, what's wrong, babe?" he asked, grabbing her wrist.
"Don't touch me! Just go away, Tanner!" she spat, wretching her wrist from his grasp.
He couldn't understand Marisa's anger.
"Tell me what the hell is wrong, Marisa!" he shouted at her.
Tears were sliding down her cheeks as she turned to him. She glared at him through dark eyes he had never seen before.
"At the beginning, it seemed right. Going on, it was different. In the middle, you had changed. Toward the end, I had to choose. Now... we're finished." she said, turning her back to him for the last time and walking off...
Shun the tears that reach your eyes. Do not let them fall for such a fool. The path you travel is long, and he is just one bump in the road. One distraction from your path. Turn back to the path. You're on your way to the final conclusion of your heart.
