I had some very... Unusual thoughts today. Unusual meaning I normally wouldn't've actually considered them until now. I thought of what I wanted to be when I grow up. It's the question that you get asked all the time, the question that annoys the hell out of you. Well, I was asked this question in homeroom today. And, for the first time in a long while, I actually thought about what I wanted to do with my life; where I wanted to go, and where I wanted to be. The first thing I would normally blurt out when asked this question would be, "Singing! I want to sing!"
.......................
Now that I actually thought about that choice, this is what I've come up with...
Singing is a wonderful career. It lets you pour your soul into what you sing, whether it be pop, rock, gospel, hip-hop or R&B. Singing always appealed to me-- and it still does --, but I'd never given much thought to it.
Yes, singing is a great career, but acting surpasses it all. Acting is for life. Acting is what you do for life. If you choose to sing, well that's fine, but singers eventually-- gradually --"die off." I mean, you have to write a whole bunch of songs and albums to keep your crowd and fans pleased, and all that stuff. It gets to be a hassel, and they "die off," as I said. They get less popular until nobody really listens to them at all. But acting-- acting you can do from the time you turn four years old to the time you die. Acting IS for LIFE.
Singing is a career.
Acting is forever.
Acting is what I want to do with my life.
Acting is what I will do with my life.
And acting holds no limits.
