once upon a time a gypsy rabbit wandered about the woods near a small town. the humans in the town sought to catch and eat the rabbit and do set traps out in the fields. the rabbit was caught in a snare.
a rogue wolf happened to be passing through and came across the rabbit. it decided the small thing was an easy meal and it was just about to eat it when the rabbit began to beg and plead for its life.
the wolf was touched by the rabbits words. instead of snapping down on the rabbits neck the wolf freed the rabbit. the gypsy hare, in gratitude promised the wolf three wishes.
'there once was a hare caught in a snare
a wolf came across and decided to eat it
but the hare spoke words to the wolf's heart
the wolf freed the hare and was granted three wishes''
