Dean and I stood behind the house examining the surroundings. Sam was in the building searching for evidence of a ghoul. I heard him sigh and turned around. "Nothing?" I asked. Sam smirked and nodded. "Place seems pretty clean. No guts no bones. Maybe this ghoul decided you would be its first taste." He said stomping down the stairs. That made me flinch, and Dean noticed. Dean sighed and shoved his hands in his pockets. "Well thats not happening. So we need to find a new lead." He said with a strong tone. I nodded in agreement. "We could go look for messed up tombs." I suggested. Sam looked at Dean, "That's actually a good idea." He said surprised a small smile of approval appeared on his face. I smiled back and made my way back to the Impala. "Can I drive?" I asked looking at Dean. Dean and Sam chuckled. "Yeah, right. Dean barely lets me drive." He said before getting in. I climbed in the back seat and slouched back pouting. "Aw, cheer up Dessy. Maybe one day." Dean said before turning the engine on. We drove to the cemetery and parked. I was the first one out and began walking through the paths trying not to step on any grave beds. Sam and Dean didn't seem to care. I tried to relax straying from the path some, until the earth began to fall from under me. It sent me falling into a tunnel leading to a small dim room. "Des!" I heard Dean call from above. I looked up to see them looking down at me. "I'm fine." I called. They sighed in relief or atleast thats what I heard. I sighed and looked around. The tunnel wasn't long just a few feet and then it openned to a room.
I looked at the room, squinting in the dark. "Des wait there! We will get you out." Dean called.
"No! I think I found the Ghouls resting place." I called. "I'm going ahead!"
I added before crawling towards the room. Dean and Sam both began shouts of protest but I was to far to hear.
I wanted this thing dead, and nothing was going to stop me. I touched the gun Dean had gave me. It rested close to my chest in my jacket pocket.
I heard a thump behind me. "Des!" It was Dean. I stopped and turned over my shoulder. "what!" I hissed.
Dean grabbed my arm and jerked me towards him. "Don't EVER go off on your own! That is rule number one!" He yelled in a furious tone.
I scooted back, feeling guilty."We could have lost you! This place is not the best to fight! You can't beat it on your own. SO don't even try it!" He added glarring down at me.
I nodded and hugged him before he began leading me back to the openning. I glanced over my shoulder at the tomb's entrance and saw something dash past it. I nearly screamed.
Dean noticed my fear and crawled faster out of the tunnel lifting me out first. Sam grabbed me and pulled me to his chest. "You okay?" He asked looking down at me. I nodded and hugged him. "A little help!" He grunted as he tried climbing out.
Sam let go and ran over and helped pull him out. Dean wouldn't look at me, my head hung low and Sam's arm was around my shoulder. Leading me to the Impala. On the drive back to the motel Dean and Sam talked about the plan.
I listened quietly and waited for them to address me. "We know where it is. How its getting around. Later on today we can go scan the tunnels and tomb." Dean said, glancing in the rear view mirror.
I made eye contact and glanced away. Sam cleared his throat. "Listen Des, we know you have a score to settle...But going in without a plan isn't very smart." He said trying to think out his words.
"Promise you won't go alone...If that Ghoul had gotten you in the tunnels. We may not have been able to rescue you." He said a lump forming in his throat. For some reason they were getting protective of me.
As if I was family, or something close. I sighed and tried to think of something to say. "I promise" I said doing the girl scout finger thing. Dean sighed and pulled back to the motel parking lot. I climbed out and raced to the soda machine wanting to get away from them. Sam sighed and went inside the motel room. Dean leaned back against the Impala and waited for me.
I leaned against the soda machine resting my head against it. I breathed in deeply. "What am I going to do with those two. They won't let me kill it." I thought to myself, the only thing on my mind was the hunt. Though Dean's face appeared in my head often. I shook my head bought a drink and headed to the room. I openned the door to see Sam surfing the web. "Hey Sammy." I greeted openning my soda. "Oh h-hi Des." He said hastily closing his laptop. I eyed him carefully before taking a sip of my drink. "You okay?" I asked. Sam nodded quickly. "Yeah, I'm great...you?" He asked rubbing his neck. I smiled and laughed lightly at him. "I'm fine Sammy." I said in a giggle. He eyed me suspiciously and watched me walk across the room and sit across from him. He starred at me, something uneasing him. "Sam...Do you not like me?"I asked, deciding to get it all in the open. Sam looked shocked and shook his head. "No. I just don't believe this life is suited for you." He said immediately. I sighed and nodded. "Well I like it and I wanna be in it. So please can we get along?" I begged reaching across and touching his hand. A door slammed and I turned to see Dean standing in the way."Don't let me interupt." He said in a rude tone. I sighed. "What ever." I muttered giving up on the whole thing. I walked into the bathroom and decided to take a long a** shower.
