Personality: He’s very serious and calculating. He tries to stay a step ahead of everything. Something he passed on to Tamaki. He's firm yet guiding. He tries not to show emotion, often keeping a blank look on his face. Perhaps that's where Kana get's her uncanny ability to mask her emotions with a smile. Same concept, different application. He doesn't raise his voice, ever and certainly doesn't deal with dramatics, mostly because he just doesn't give a rats a**. He has very low patience and often has to take a few steps back when things get frustrating or heated.
History: Mamoru is a descendent of a very old family. How far back his family dates is unknown but due to the families inept ability at Fūinjutsu, it is rumored that they could possibly date back to the days of Uzushiogakure. His early years were spent training under his master along side Keiji Maeda and Miharu Rokujo. Upon reaching Chūnin level he was asked to join the Hunter nins. Seeing it as a great honor, he accepted.
His time as hunter nin were gruesome, but it was war time, blood and violence were everywhere. When the war ended and peace had finally fallen over the land, things slowed down and he tried to settle himself down into some semblance of a normal life, which required him leaving the Hunter Nin. He was more then happy to put that part of his life behind him.
When Keiji informed him that he had found the love of his life he was all too thrilled for him. However upon meeting her, he was hesitant to give his blessings. The idea that Keiji wanted to form a relationship with a woman from another village was suspicious to him. After she relinquishing her title as a Ninja of Amegakure and taking up residence within the walls of Kirigakure, and seeing Keiji's happiness with this woman, he couldn't help but be okay with it. In fact, he envied what the two of them seemed to have. Which doubled when Kana was born. He wanted that kind of life, but honestly he didn't believe it was possible. His time as a hunter nin had hardened him too much.
He had been appointed Kana's godfather, a reluctant title. Taking on the kid would be a chore. She was way too antsy for him. However, since it was a request from Keiji, he accepted the title. This turned out to be a blessing in disguise. Kana adored him and eventually he warmed up to her in return, melting a little of ice that had formed on his heart.
When he was approached about becoming a teacher he wanted nothing to do with it. After some pressing and insistence from several of the higher ups, he accepted, only with the condition that he got Kana's team. Something he would later come to regret. Kana and Tamaki were easy enough. Hibiki on the other hand... he hardly had the patients to handle him. He was sure if Kana wasn't around to help keep him in line he would have strangled him by now. The kid was good at finding trouble or creating it. He did have to give him props through, the team wouldn't get as much training as they did had it not been for his frequently getting them in trouble.
One of proudest days was the day they reached Chūnin level. He was skeptical at first, but as they had a tendency of doing, they once again surprised him. It was a bitter sweet thing of course, this meant they were now on their own now. The only thing he could offer them now is advice and watch from a distance.
Jutsu List:
+Genjutsu
Bunshin no Jutsu - A jutsu that creates an illusionary clone of the user, in numbers of 1 or more. The Clone disappears after being struck with an attack, and can deal no damage.
Cancel - A jutsu that destroys/cancels out an illusionary jutsu attempted on the user.
Henge no Jutsu - An illusionary jutsu that gives the user the appearance of another person or object.
+Hijutsu
Kirisame - The user makes rain which eats up the chakra. It comes into contact with chakra that is not of the same signature as the original user.
+Fūinjutsu
Shikoku Fūin - The user concentrates chakra into their finger and using the heat from that can apply writing on whatever they want to a surface. This technique however requires them to be very delicate with their chakra control. This technique causes slight discomfort for a living target and if it is on flesh, it will scar.
Three Seals Barrier - Similar to the Five Seals Barrier technique, instead the user places three seals around their location. If any one manages to enter through a secret entrance of the protected hideout, a deep mist is created and the only way to get rid of it is remove the tags around the protected area.
Time-Release Technique - By placing a mark on a person in a ritualistic method, this technique will activate as timed even if the person is tortured or put under a trance. This is meant to catch an enemy when their guard is down.
