My mother and I started this group called "Kansas River Rescue" its number 1 in my top friends on myspace. And we'd been cleaning the river for a few months alone, and we'd contacted the city and a whole bunch of people and never heard anything back from them so we stopped. We even contacted the paper! Well, last month the city hosted a big river clean up and it kinda pissed my mom and I off because we'd been trying to clean the river by ourselves forever and tried to get ahold of people to help and all this, and then they go and do this. We were like "f them!" WELL! It turns out, that they were doing it hoping we'd show up because they wanted to get ahold of us but didn't know how. On their flyers was "River Clean up inspired by Kansas River Rescue" They gave us full credit for everything. O.O THE RADIO WAS EVEN TALKING ABOUT US! O.O Today, about an hour or two ago the city called us, and wanted to talk to mom, and they told her all of this. The boyscouts made it apart of their thingy for badges, and everything! I can't believe this!! We did something that actually caught attention of others! And the media!
