Well, it's a good thing I didn't go out on the porch when my uncle, his wife and Pippa were still here. I would have ended up busting someone in the chops. All because their a closed minded ******** stick and won't listen to other people's views on how s**t happens.
I'm so tired of these stupid religious "followers" who are more like cult members than a religious congregation telling people what they believe in is wrong.
I am a neo-pagan. Most of you probably know that, but yeah. I’m neo-pagan, and I’m bisexual. The only people I hide my sexuality from is my family, aside from my mother and brother. They know, and they’re fine with it. The others, I’m just waiting for the right time, which is coming quickly because it starts with religion and then turns into bashing people that are bisexual/homosexual.
My uncle’s wife on the other hand, if she knew I was bisexual she’d flip a s**t and go psycho. She’d probably tell my uncle Pippa isn’t allowed to be around me anymore, because she is as I stated in the beginning a “closed minded ******** stick” at times.
She’s the first person that’ll say “People need rights!” but she at the same time when the vote came to Salina about people (please note I said people, not gays or lesbians) being able to get married to the same sex, she was right there voting no, but saying others needed rights. Does any of that make any sense to you? Cause it doesn’t to me.
But she was on the front porch this afternoon and she was bagging pagans because it says in the old testament that pagans were bad. Well, anyone that wasn’t a Christian back when that book was written was bad. If Bethanne would sit back and actually read about the Pagan lifestyle, beliefs, and what it really is about, she’d realize it’s actually one of the most peaceful “religions” out there. It’s nearly as old as time itself. Cavemen were worshipping the sky for giving them fire, ya know? What’s that? A little bit of paganism.
Then again she’s one of those people that think cavemen and dinosaurs were like best buddies, like the Flintstones. But then again, she thinks the world isn’t over 10,000 years old. As my favorite comic, Lewis black would say, “Fossil.”
I hate people that are so judgmental against other belief systems that they start offending those around them because they think how they live is wrong. What the hell, ya know? Bethanne will sit back and tell me I’m so neat, I’m so nice, I’m the greatest person she’s ever had the pleasure of running into, well guess what, I’m bi, I’m a neo-pagan, and I’m pissed off right now.
My uncle told her to watch what she was saying because she was sitting on the porch of a house full of pagans bitching about how they believe. He told her he was raised pagan, and he wondered what she really thought of him. It makes me wonder as well. I’ve been waiting for this time to come for a while now, and it looks like all her bible studies, her alone time at the church blah, blah isn’t really teaching her anything other than to be judgmental against others. I do believe it says in the bible “JUDGE NOT, LEST YE BE JUDGED.”
Its right there in the good book that you aren’t supposed to judge other unless you want to be judged the same way. Guess what? That’s the same beliefs I have! In the pagan world, you don’t wish or do something, or say something harmful against another person unless you want that back times three, because karma/fate has a nasty way of teaching you how you‘re acting is un-cool. Pagan’s don’t want trouble, they’re just more at peace with nature.
It’s like the Native American cultures, they did dances for rain, dances for a good hunt, but you don’t see people telling them it’s wrong. Hell most of them are dead because they were killed off by the new-comers to the land, or they’re sitting on shitty little reservations, the original people of this country, treated like s**t, my people as well.. Well ya know, if the natives wouldn’t have been trying to be peaceful people, they probably wouldn’t have all been killed. The “uprising” that sparked the big fight between white man and the natives was because they natives were doing a dance for rain, and the cowboys thought they were all getting together to fight them.
Millions of people have been killed in the name of Christianity, the pagans wanted peace. The roman’s killed so many pagans because they didn’t follow the same rules as them. The roman’s were Christians, and they attacked the pagans on the day of the summer solstice. The Persians did the same thing to the Egyptians, they painted the sacred animals that the Egyptian’s worshipped on their shields and won the war because the Egyptians wouldn’t attack the sacred animal, even if it was just a painting.
Pagans have been ******** over for so long it’s actually sad. It’s upsetting when you’re raised a certain way and then someone comes along, thinking they’re better than everyone else because they’re a Christian, and they insult the way you were raised. It’s really upsetting, in my world, the way I believe, your family comes first, you take care of your house, you respect nature, circus’s are bad because it’s rape of the natural world.
Animals don’t fight with each other over religion, they fight for survival, they fight to keep their young alive, they worry about their family more than they do anything else. If people followed the ways some animals are, you’d be surprised how much happier people would be. If they just forgot about religion all together, just tried to be good, do right by others and that’s all they worried about, I’m sure they’d be secured a ticket to a better place when they left earth.
But that’s where reincarnation comes in, I believe you can have the choice to come back to earth or go on to heaven. You can’t learn it all in one trip, that’s impossible. It’d be like trying to learn all the secrets of the Mayan civilization, no one knows what happened to them, but again, the way they lived was Pagan-ish as well. And look where they are, no one knows what happened to them. Maybe when people started forcing others to follow their way or you’re dead, they decided death was better than to abandoned the way they were raised.
I’d rather someone believe in many gods than no god at all. At least if they believe in something then there’s a chance they’ll try to do right, because they won’t want to upset their gods, ya know? Believe in something, but don’t try to force others to believe in s**t the same way you do, because everyone is different, everyone thinks differently, therefore everyone should be able to believe in something different.
People are always saying “Love god, know god. Follow the bible.” Well, there’s the thing. Everyone loves differently. The way I love someone is and probably always will be differently than how someone else loves someone. You can’t make someone love someone the same way you love them, then that’s a false love because its not your own love, it’s someone else’s idea of what love is. Follow your own heart, that’s the quickest path to god. God is inside you, no matter if you believe in him or not. He’s there, or the many gods you worship. Whoever you follow, do it to the best of your ability, but just be good. That’s the real thing this is all about.
I don’t like people being mean, hurting other’s feelings, trying to start trouble, or just being a generalized a*****e. I don’t like people like that. If you’re going to start trouble or be mean, or judge people (Yes, I am guilty of that. I admit it.) don’t do it around me or where I could possibly hear it. Because closed minded people piss me off because in order to see the world for what it really is, being closed minded is not the best way. Take the blinders off, and open your eyes and see the world for what it really is. A beautiful place where so many people live together and if they all tried just a little bit to be better to each other, all the troubles would stop. I just don’t like all this hate, I know I started out being pissed and filled with anger, but I can’t be that way. It’s not me.
I just don’t like people insulting the way I was raised. I was raised neo-pagan, I don’t necessarily follow all the ways pagans worship, but that’s why I’m a neo-pagan, because I just believe in respecting the earth, being kind to animals, hugging a tree when I’m angry, and being kind to the world that god, the same god Bethanne is saying hates Pagans, gave me. God doesn’t hate. He’s given us so much, and yet we take more than we need. No one takes the time to stop and notice the flowers, and how sweet they smell, because we’re all to busy scurrying around to actually notice the wonders and the miracles that god gives us daily. You’re alive, you have children, you have grandchildren, you’re able to see the world and all its amazing colors, and smell so many things and hear them, yet we take it for granted. Pagans don’t. They see the world and all its glorious amazing things that everyone else ignores because they don’t have the time.
Don’t hate someone for being different, respect them for having the balls to think differently. Admire them for their internal beauty, and the way they think. Look up to them for the ability to hold strong to their beliefs and morals and not give in because someone said it’s wrong, wither they're straight, gay or bi. It may be wrong to them, but for you its right. We all have our own paths, its up to us to follow them. People come in our lives, stay a short while until the reason they came is gone then they move on to the next person. Don’t let that person leave being mad at you because you tried to change them and the way they believe. End it on a happy note.
And now I'm done with all of this. I've vented, it's all out, but I know that if someone challenges what I believe and try to change my way of thinking, I am not going to take their s**t because I don't do that to them.
Blessed be.
