Hi everyone! And welcome to… HIGHSCHOOL CHRONICLES, Chapter 6! Right now I have a long, three day weekend to update, so, if you noticed the good grammar, I’m actually typing this out as a word document right now, and I’m going to copy it later. Why? Because my grandma doesn’t have an airport for my laptop, and her neighbor’s airport, which I previously used, I have lost connection with D: the meanies! How am I supposed to get access to the internet if they don’t allow me to hack into their signals?! Meanies…
Anyway, on with the chapter!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Teachers! Special Super-Long Update The following section is all about… my teachers!!! No names will be mentioned, for obvious reasons. I’m just gonna call them… let see… what the course names are. ^^ I guess…
Japanese- My japanese teacher is really nice. Sometimes, a lot of times she threatens to give out detention and makes students come to study help, but shes only given the slips out a couple of times. It’s mostly the boys fault anyway, because most of the boys in class either act cocky and don’t pay attention or else they just don’t do their homework. -_- but, other than the fact she gets mad a lot, shes pretty nice. And I do like learning japanese. 3nodding
Geometry: Because I’m pretty good at math, im in the geometry class with the 10th graders. Of course a lot of other ninth graders are just as smart, so about half the class is 9th and half 10th. He’s probably one of those most interesting teachers I’ve ever had. Mr. Geometry-Class told us he doesn’t like vienna sausge OR skittles. When someone asked why, he said skittles are pure sugar, which makes all of us bounce of the walls. I can understand this, cuz hes a teacher, so normally he doesn’t like us bringing sugar into class to eat. But vienna sausage? sweatdrop THIS was interesting. He said (go get a can right now and read the ingridients), one of them is “mechanically-seperated chicken parts. O.o wth (what the heck) is MECHANICALLY SEPERATED CHICKEN PARTS?! Well, (just skip the part in white is you don’t wanna know) Its when they take chicken tongues, lips, feet, etc. pull them apart from a chicken with a machine, and grind it up into sausages o.o freaky! Also, whenever we get 100% or higher on our tests, he gives us a piece of chocolae candy! blaugh I’ve gotten 3 pieces so far 3nodding ALSO, hes really nice because there’s a jar he keeps in class to collect money to go buy food for the homeless shelter. LAST MONTH OUR CLASS COLLECTED ALMOST 200 DOLLARS!! biggrin we bought a TON of food for the people in need! (but not vienna sausages! rofl )
Study Period- First off, our study period is in a big room filled with chairs. We sit according to how many days a week we have study period, so since I have it everyday, I sit in the first row crying why is this bad? Because the teacher scares me… sometimes. She yells a lot and threatens us with detention and acutually gives it out! O_O im so scared… I hardly talk during that period unless I have to ask my friend next to me for something… and even then its still scary… I think it might just be her voice though. It’s really loud and kinda rough. But she can be nice sometimes too... cant think of any time right now, but i'm sure she is... some time...
Speech- all right! My best class! I have the highest score in class right now, with an average of 99.7%! (im serious!) Which is weird, considering im the only 9th grade girl, and one of the very few ninth graders in the class at all! I kinda wish I was taking honors speech though, because the class is too easy for me. But, since I’ve never taken speech before, the school can’t move me up aww… sad well, that’s good in a way, because it means I pass the class AND I have one of the the best teachers! Mr. Speech-teacher is super fun and funny! I really like his class. He also lets us play taboo some days, because it helps us to think on our feet while avoiding certain words (during speeches the words are um, uh, like, cuz, you know, etc.). We play for these things called [insert my teachers name here]-free-passes. We can use them for extra points on a speech, or to extend the deadline for an assignment. I havent used mine yet though, and this is only a semester class D: !!! so im gonna turn it in for extra credit on my final speech! But im gonna SOO miss this class next semester!!! I’m gonna be in keyboarding class instead sad I’ll still go back to visit though!!
PE- It’s alright. Right now we are the classroom portion, where we learn about our bodies and how to set up a personal fitness plan to help us with our acutaly activity next semester. I have running as my activity, and our final is to run a 10 k at the beach park. It doesn’t matter how long it takes, just to be able to finish ^^ but im getting better though, from all the walking around school and jogging with my dad, so I’ll be okay. the teacher is nice though. He tells us lots of stories when he tries to explain something. Like he told us about why it’s important to take care of our heart, and he told us some stories about what happened to some students who over-exert themselves and stuff... but overall, I don’t think I hate PE… it’s just my least favorite class… (this portion has been edited. read on to know why)
Honors English- One of my two honors classes (I take honors hawaiian culture next semester). I’ts kinda hard, I get my lowest scores in this class, but overall I average a B- right now(? Not sure ?). Anyway, the teacher is pretty nice. We get some pretty fun assignments. I really like our writing assignments, because I get to be creative. AND we submit two copies. One’s for her to grade, and the other goes on the bulliten board decorated! biggrin I love drawing all over the paper!!!
Ekalesia- that’s ‘religion’ for those of you who don’t know. I change my mind about PE… THIS hands down is my least favorite class. The only thing that makes it good is a couple of my friends are in this class. Other than that razz now don’t get me wrong, its not that I don’t like my religion or god or anything, it’s just that I don’t like the class (and Matt, if you’re reading this don’t be so pessimistic and say if I hate the class the teacher will get fired or something again!) I just don’t like what we have to do for class. First, it was a random acts of kindness assignment. I guess I just didn’t like the fact someone had to sign our paper to show we did it. It’s like asking for recognition… and then there was the final test we had, whish was written and speech, I passed the written part fine (it was an open bible test) but the speech part was to say the lord’s prayer in hawaiian. Neither I, nor any of my friends passed. Each one of us failed and we have to do the make up assignment, which is writing the prayer out in hawaiian and english. Personally, I find this MUCH easier than the test itself. I don’t get the point. So we don’t have the prayer memorized, isn’t it more important that we actually say the prayer?
Biology- yes! One of my favorite classes! I love science, even if it’s not my best class. I don’t really know why. Maybe it’s because my dad is so into it. I’m a lot like that, liking the same things my parents liked growing up. My mom had a minor love with this show called Princess Knight, that first shojo anime EVER (ha! I wonder where my otaku-ness came from!). My dad is also really good at drawing, and my mom was also great with speech. Storytelling was her favorite kind, and its mine too. Anyway, (sorry for trailing off there!) biology is definitely one of my favorite classes! Science is just so fun. The teacher is super nice, but she on maternity leave. UPDATE: she just had a baby girl! For those of you who have read my older chapters, you may have read about our class joke, ‘Giaaaant Baaaaby!’. Well, the baby came out 6 pounds -_-;; OMG! I was even bigger than that when I was born! So much for that joke… oh well. Maybe she will grow to BECOME a giant baby/toddler/kid! Hmm… who knows! Anyway, our substitute has been really nice, and he will be missed when he is gone I am sure. But I can’t wait for our old science teacher to get back! Shes so much fun! Just like my speech teacher!
Random Thought: Okay, like, when I trailed off during the biology thing, talking about how I'm alike from my parents, GET THIS: (i learned this in class) the left side of your brain is the logical side, and it also controls the right side of your body. The right side of the brain is the creative side, and it also controls the left side of your body. Therefore, (I also read) you're supposed to be really good at art if you are left handed. One of my friends actually proves this ^^ but my mom is left handed and well... (no offense mommy!) she is horrible at drawing. I mean it. Sorry mom, but you dont draw well at all. And I totally dont get it... I guess it's cool though because that means she defys science! :O
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Wow. eek that… was a lot… I’d better stop here. (according to MS word, this is three pages long! :O
Anyways, talk to you guys later on my next chaper of HIGHSCHOOL CHRONICLES!
I hope you enjoyed my randomness! Now comment or a giant baby will come get you! rofl GIIIIAAAANT BAAABY *is dying from my warped sense of humor*
