Anyway.
Yesterday I went to this cultural festival where I live and I had a lot of fun! =D It's mostly for Japanese culture, but there were also booths from Thailand, Philippines, China, and even some local Hawaiian goods.
List of Activities I Did/Awesome Stuff I Bought: - Learned a new fold for origami! It was sorta awkward because I sat down at the booth and this happened
Lady: So, would you like to learn to make a frog? Me: Um... actually I already know how... Lady: Oh... well, um, what else do you know how to fold? Me: Mostly flowers... Lady: Well, I have some instructions for making a flower right here! *shows me* Me: *stares for a couple of seconds* Actually... I know how to make this one too... Lady: ... Me: ... Lady: Well... how about one of these boxes? Me: Oh! That circular one looks cool. I've never seen that one before. Lady: Okay perfect! Yeah... I think I made her uncomfortable. At least I learned how to make a circular basket =D It's not that hard either! What REALLY freaked me out was there was this old Japanese lady standing behind me who reached over and grabbed a paper and asked me something in Japanese that was too fast for me to understand o_o; then she folded a peacock in one minute... I think she thought I was a tourist too >_>; - Also, I learned how to shoot a BLOW DART. Yeah, I'm totally gonna be a ninja now. I'll shoot all of you with poison darts and you'll drop down DEAD. ...I'm just kidding, really! It was a ton of fun though. You need to lift and lower your arms and do a breathing exercise first, and then you can shoot it properly. =) The sensei told me you could take classes at one of the local temples... I think I might check it out ;D Something to do during the summer, ya know? - I got to eat CREPES. Oh my gosh I LOVE crepes! My parents shared an apple and cinnamon one and I had a banana and chocolate one ^^ They're DELICIOUS! ...and 6 dollars o_o; ...no wonder they're so good, especially at that price. What sucked is I bought it towards the end so they had a sale on them, which the guy put up 5 minutes after I got mine >_<; Oh well! - I also got to eat Tokyo-style Okonomiyaki! I took it home to eat for dinner and it was SUPER good! Daisukidesu! Oishidakara! =D - Stuff I bought: blue woven monkey cell phone strap, blue tote bag with mother pearl and coin decorations, 50 cent fortune, good luck charm for "scholastic achievement" (aka, helping me not fail in school XD), and scented good luck charm to ward off evil (it smells like flowery perfume! ^^) - I also stopped by the Kawaii Kon booth and asked about ticket prices. 3 days are NOT 70 dollars like my friend said... they're only 50. *phew* I better tell him when I get back to school he had faulty info.
Also, I ran into Crystal_Wing_Ninja when I was eating. I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU IN FOREVER!!! We REALLY need to talk more chibi-chan D:
Hopefully once I finish my homework I get to go back later today! =D HOORAY!
