Chapter 2: I Beg your forgiveness
Akito stood under a blooming cherry tree. He proccessed what just happened in his mind. One of the Sohma's was going to give birth to his grandchild...or whatever. "What have I done?" he muttered to himself. Now that Yuki was pregnant he didn't want their relationship to stay in ruins. He wanted to change his ways. He returned to the estate with a way to apoligize already in mind.
A few weeks later, Kyo woke up and found Yuki at the kotatsu. "Mornin' , rat mama." Kyo joked. Yuki turned and gave him a searing stare. "I-I was just kidding!" Kyo whimpered to protect himself. Yuki groaned and let his head rest on the table. "Didn't get any sleep?" Kyo asked. "No." Yuki groaned. "Damn morning sickness." Kyo laughed. He sat down next to Yuki, which is normally odd for him.
Kyo looked Yuki over. He was still in his PJ's and his hair was practiclly all over the place. Underneath his shirt, a small bulge protruded from his stomach. "My God." he whispered. "Hmm?" Yuki said. With a small smile, Kyo nodded towards the bulge. "Yuki, I think you're showing." Yuki glanced down at the bulge. With a warm smile, Yuki carressed his stomach. "C-can I?" Kyo asked. Yuki still smiled warmly and unbuttoned his shirt. Kyo's hand met Yuki's and they enjoyed the moment.
"Aw, how cute." Shigure smirked, making Kyo whip his hand away. "It's almost as if Kyo's the father." Kyo and Yuki both glared at him. "Ew!" Kyo groaned disgustedly. "I wouldn't dare do that!" "Neither would I!" Yuki snarled. "Well, who do you think is the parent?" Shigure asked, sitting across from Kyo. "I don't remember." Yuki said thoughtfully. He racked his brain for someone he would've...ahem, eloped with. He remembered someone. "Naoko Hanajima." he said. "Hanajima?" Tohru asked, walking in. "Hana-chan's phsych ward cousin?"
Yuki nodded. "Phsych ward?" Shigure repeated to himself. "Yeah." Yuki nodded. "It was over Spring Break. Naoko and I were studying and somehow things got out of hand. But when we got too close, I transformed. The next day, she went crazy and told every one that I turned into a rat. Before we could surpress her memories, someone threw her into a pysch ward. She's been there ever since." "Wow." Kyo sighed. "It's not funny." Yuki glared at him. "I didn't say it was!" Kyo defended himself.
"Well, you and Tohru gotta head to school before you're late." Shigure said to Kyo. "So..." He shooed them off. Tohru stood up and bowed. "Take care of Yuki for me." she pleaded Shigure. "I will." he smiled. Tohru and Kyo vanished from sight. But Tohru returned for a split second with the mail. As Shigure looked through the mail, Yuki carressed his stomach once again. "Yuki, you got something." Shigure said handing him a letter. Yuki glanced at the writing; it was from Akito. Yuki scoffed and opened the envelope.
Dear Yuki,
I thought about what happened yesterday and...I also thought about all the horrible things I've done to you and the other Sohmas. I realize what's going to happen and the fact that I'm going to be this child's grandfather...or something at least. I just-I only want to apolgize. I promise, I'll change my ways. All I'm asking is for you to forgive me. I beg for your forgiveness. I promise to change, starting now.

Was Yuki really reading this? What was Akito playing at? Does he really mean this? "W-what is he saying?" Yuki whispered. "What he say?" Shigure asked, leaning over to read the letter for himself. "He's trying to apoligize?" Shigure laughed. "That's new." Yuki processed what he wrote. He meant that? With a warm smile and one solitary tear of releif, he said to himself, "Ok, Akito. But I haven't fully forgiven you yet. First, you have to prove yourself."
