So I recently bought:
I know, surprising considering I'm not exactly the most super-girly person around, right? XD (well, maybe only my real life friends think that...)
When I was playing a dress up game on deviantart (YES, I like DRESS UP GAMES and follow some of the artists who make them on dev. art... GOT A PROBLEM WITH THAT?! *brandishes throwing stars* ) and normally I don't watch the ad that plays before the game since it's usually for clorox or whatever, but I saw this ad for Style Savvy and watched the whole thing because it looked SO COOL.
And I ended up buying it from Toys n Joys :3
I AM SO ADDICTED. It's just so fun to play &w&
You design your own character and your job is to be a stylist at a boutique (my character's name is Shizuka! XD). First you start off working for this girl named Grace at her boutique called Strata, along with this other girl named Renee. You pick out clothes for customers based on what they want and their own personal style, and eventually you move on to putting together entire outfits.
You end up making friends with two of the customers, Olivia, who is trying to become a make-up artist, and Didi, who is a hair stylist opening up her own shop.
Then eventually you and Renee go out to eat lunch at the park and save this old guy named Godfrey (BEST. NAME. EVER.) from some duck who is trying to steal his sandwich (LOL). Godfrey turns out to be the butler for the owner of Strata (Grace is just the supervisor-manager-whatever-person) and tells your character he's heard a lot of good stuff about you and Renee from Grace.
Then you go back to the store and continue to do your job and whatever, and this really cute guy shows up looking for Grace. And Renee thinks it's her boyfriend, but it turns out his name is Dominique and HE'S the boutique owner! (and he has a pink shirt XD). And he says your character has been doing such a good job he's promoting her to be a boutique manager herself! O.O
And then you get to design your on boutique! 8D My boutique is called "Hayari heart s" XD Yes. With a heart symbol. That way you can either read it as Hayari's or Hayari Hearts. Hayari is Japanese for chic or vogue, so the name of my store basically means "Stylish Hearts". ^^ Cool, huh?
For my music I switch between one of the rock songs, a pop song, and an asian-inspired pop song. And my interior is this mature-looking asian-inspired boutique. It looks super... hayari! XD
So far my favorite brands out of the 16-ish of them in the game are...
April Bonbon- Lots of cute, colorful clothing!
Marble Lily- SWEET LOLITA! <3
Raven Candle- GOTHIC LOLITA! <3
Mad Jack- It's like Hot Topic! 8D
Karamomo- Asian-inpspired clothing that's refined and cool. <3
Anyway, the rest of the game is basically you manage your shop, try to make as much money as you can, and compete in fashion contests.
Oh! And there's also this girl who acts like a southern belle named Felicity who is a magazine writer and does an article on your character once a month. And a girl named Libby who takes pictures ^^ And this lady named Rococco who wears leopard prints and is in charge of fashion contests o.O
So... yep! ^^ OH! And any clothes you stock in your shop, you get to keep one for your own personal wardrobe! And you can buy make-up from Olivia's store and change your hair at Didi's salon! ^^
There's a lot more to the game, but it would take forever to write about! XD
Overall I REALLY love this game! It's a great fusion of a dress up game and a strategy game. Perfect for anyone who likes fashion or just plain dress up! ^^
P.S. My favorite client is Caitlyn. She's this totally adorable girl who wishes she was a superhero! XD
