HIGHSCHOOL Chronicles Episode 10 (Song Contest Day & Break) |

Well, this is a short one because I wrote a REALLY long short-story (LOL oxy-moron XD) in my last entry. It's a ghost story, which I command you to read or an army or billy goats will rip out your esophagus and feed it to you <.< XD just kidding! But please read it, I worked hard on it and only 2 people have read it so far crying
So anyways, time to talk about, SONG CONTEST and BREAK and other stuff... yeah kay here we go!!!!
Sashed and... you don't wanna know XD
Okay, so it's the day of song contest and we're at our final rehersal... the instructor is trying to get all of us to listen. I think they were explaining about what to do that night to prepare... I dunno... I wasn't really listening... oh XD. Yeah... point made.
Anyways, they were saying to get some rest, drink water, and get to {insert place we meet before it happens that I won't say online cuz some creepy stalker will hunt me down or whatever sweatdrop }.
They also told everyone to remember to get our clothes ready. Girls needed to wear their dresses (bleh! >.< wink and boys had to wear their dress shirts and pants. When we got to { place name } girls needed to get our leis and boys had to get their leis and sashes.
For those of you who aren't from Hawaii and don't know what a lei is, it's a garland of flowers, sometimes other materials like yarn or shells. It's pronounced like "lay" sorta... Anyway, back to my story.
Basically, the instructor got mad at the boys for talking, and he was like: "BOYS! Focus. When you guys get to { place name } it is very important you know what to do when you get there. You need to be serious and not fool around, so when you guys get there, you need to make sure you get a sash AND a lei. Got it? You're gonna go to { place } in your dress whites, and then when you arrived you are going to be sashed, and you are going to be--"
And, he stopped there. The short silence broke when just about everyone burst out laughing. "-- you-you're going to be... be given a garland of flowers..." XD LAWL suuuuuure... that was TOTALLY what you were gonna say XD
OMG SONG CONTEST *dies from stage fright*
Well, we didn't win anything! XD Not like you would expect freshmen to win though... Besides, juniors and sophmores are actually really good...
I still liked our song, and we did do a good job though, and that's good enough for me, right? Plus, we got a standing ovation biggrin And that's enough to make me happy ^^
I was SO SCARED though... I felt like I was gonna throw up DX Buuuut I made it through okay ^^
One of my friends almost didn't get to sing O_O He didn't have his dress clothes... but his parents brought them, so he did get to sing! biggrin And that makes me happy. Because he enjoys singing and is really good at it... plus, I don't think any of the other boys in his voice part sing >.> and if they do, I can't hear them XD But... I'm glad he got to sing, because I think he deserved to smile
Overall, I guess it was fun... sort of... in some twisted way XD JUST KIDDING!
It wasn't horrible XD It was actually really cool when we got to stand and sing our song ^^ I mean, freshman only have one song of our own, so we only get to try once... and it was awesome smile
Spring Break!
So far it's been good biggrin I WENT TO ICE PALACE ^^
I can skate! biggrin ...if i'm holding onto something...
I fell down though D: and I couldn't get up... >.< I landed on my leg funny D: I did eventually get up though... with some help... DX and... my leg only hurt for a little while ^^ so it's all good...
I caught a cold though D: I was sick a couple days so I couldn't go to the movies crying but... I'm better now ^^
I should start my spring break homework soon >.> ... XD
